Our Story

With butterflies in my stomach, I took a leap of faith in 2002, leaving the comfort of corporate America to chase my entrepreneurial dreams. Though I had little experience in procurement, operations, or sales, I was determined to soak up every bit of knowledge I could to build my own thriving online business.

I started out selling hard goods on Amazon and my own website. We grew from zero to over a million dollars in sales through tireless effort within just four years. However, the Great Recession forced the difficult decision to exit the business.

I carried the lessons learned into a new venture - launching MWP Industrial Supply. This pure online business sold home improvement and industrial products, allowing me to experience firsthand the power of collective purchasing for small retailers like myself. By harnessing group buying advantages, we could finally compete with the big box retailers.

My experience in selling hard goods led me to co-found SKUserve, a startup providing rich product data and content to deliver a superior shopping experience. Accurate, up-to-date information proved critical for increasing sales and preventing returns.

Today, I leverage decades of hands-on knowledge to bring practical insights to small internet retailers through this blog. My goal is to help you enhance profitability and efficiency just as we have done. By joining existing buying groups or forming new collaborations, you, too, can access the economies of scale once reserved for larger companies.

I'm thrilled to have you along for the journey and can't wait to see your business thrive!
